What you should know about the history of mountain bikes?

Having been to the San Francisco Bay areas many, many times, and after writing about Joe Breeze and the History of Breezer Bikes, I feel like just finished biking in and around Marin County.

Joe Breeze was possibly credited to be the creator-designer of the first successful modern mountain bikes.

Joe grew up California, at the foot of a Marin County mountain,called Mount Tamalpais, in December of 1953.He began touring California by road bike in his early teens. He built his first road bike frame in 1974 and soon became a custom builder in demand. Jo built the first successful frames for use as mountain bikes in the late 1977 to 1978.
